Boudoir

The French term “boudoir” translates to “a woman’s private room or bedroom.” In photography, boudoir refers to a style in which women pose for photographs partially clothed or in lingerie. The photos are tasteful and nudity is typically implied rather than explicit. 

But boudoir photography isn’t just about the pictures; it’s a celebration of beauty. If you’re wondering if boudoir photography is right for you, the answer is yes. It’s okay to want to feel sexy and beautiful. It’s okay to do something for yourself. Despite your busy schedule, it’s important to take time to treat yourself.   As the lead makeup artist and hairstylist of Shannon Hemaur's Photography team, I make the everyday woman look as beautiful as she is on the inside.  It is absolutely essential to have the right hair and makeup for a photo shoot.  Shannon will work with you on posing techniques and wardrobe consults and I will provide my expertise in hair and makeup.  With both experiences we will  accentuate your best features and bring out a side you never knew you had.
